Privacy Policy

Cipher Munch | Learning Playground Apps | Effective: June 2, 2026

Cipher Munch is designed to work on your device without accounts, advertising SDKs, or tracking. This policy applies to Cipher Munch on iOS and Android, and explains what the app does and does not collect.

Short version

Learning Playground Apps does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information through Cipher Munch. Game settings stay on your device. Your puzzle progress and statistics are saved on your device and, on iOS when you are signed in to iCloud, synced privately through your own iCloud account; on Android, backed up privately through your own Google account via Android Auto Backup. We cannot access that data. Optional purchases are processed by Apple or Google through the App Store / Google Play.

1. Who We Are

Cipher Munch is published by Learning Playground Apps, an independent app developer. You can contact us at LearningPlayGroundApps@gmail.com.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or other personal information through Cipher Munch.

The app does not require an account, login, sign-up, or profile. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, social SDKs, or cross-app tracking tools.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Cipher Munch may store the following information locally on your device using standard iOS or Android storage:

This app data is not sent to Learning Playground Apps and is not accessible to us. On iOS, when you are signed in to iCloud, your puzzle progress and statistics are also synced through your own private iCloud account so they carry over between your devices (see Section 6). On Android, this data is backed up through Android Auto Backup to your own Google account. In both cases that data remains private to you and is still not accessible to us. You can remove local data by deleting the app from your device.

4. In-App Purchases

Cipher Munch may offer optional in-app purchases, including puzzle packs, hint bundles, and subscriptions. On iOS, purchases are processed by Apple's App Store through StoreKit. On Android, purchases are processed by Google Play through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card information, billing address, Apple ID, or Google account credentials.

Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies and store terms govern information they may collect during purchase, receipt, refund, and subscription management.

5. No Tracking or Advertising

Cipher Munch does not track you across apps or websites. It does not use the IDFA, advertising cookies, profiling tools, or behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal data because we do not collect personal data through the app.

6. Cloud Sync and Device Backups

On iOS, Cipher Munch uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to automatically back up your puzzle progress and statistics and keep them in sync across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. This is stored in your private iCloud database, governed by your Apple ID and Apple's privacy protections. Learning Playground Apps cannot access this data; it is not shared with us. No separate account, sign-up, or login is required; it uses the iCloud account already on your device.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, Cipher Munch stores this data only on your device. You can stop iCloud syncing at any time by disabling iCloud for Cipher Munch in your device's Settings, or by signing out of iCloud. Apple's standard device-backup behavior (iCloud Backup, Finder, or iTunes) may also include local app data, controlled by Apple and your device settings.

On Android, Cipher Munch uses Android Auto Backup to back up your puzzle progress and statistics to your own Google account, restored automatically when you reinstall on a device signed in to the same account. Learning Playground Apps cannot access this data; it is governed by your Google account and Android's backup settings, and you can disable it at any time in your device's backup settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Cipher Munch does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. Since the app does not collect personal information through our systems, there is no child personal data for us to access, disclose, or delete.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Because Learning Playground Apps does not collect personal information through Cipher Munch, we generally do not have user data to access, correct, export, or delete. If you contact us by email, we will use your email address only to respond to your request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide notice through an app update note or this website.
